Mom Of Boys

Mothers of Boys

I started this blog about 4 years ago, shortly after my first little guy was born.

Tim, he's 4 1/2 now, he'll be 5 in December, and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. I can hardly believe it, one more month, and maybe my house will be a little quieter for a few hours. He's the bossy older brother, with nothing but his project on his mind. And if Noah doesn't help exactly the way Tim wants him too, then all hell breaks loose...mama needs a break.

My youngest, Noah, was also born in December. He's 2 1/2. And he's is quite possibly the craziest kid I've ever met. He sets his own limits, usually far above what I would ever think possible. He climbs up high, and then jumps down. He runs as fast as he can, everywhere.

I was not a get down in the dirt and play person until I had boys. I never would have thought how wonderful boys could be. I came from a family of three girls, so there were no brothers to show me how boys are. I'm learning, and really enjoying the lessons.

Our Pets

Surprise we have pets. Two cats, and a dog actually. I'm not one of those people who dotes on her pets, they are there, and I love them don't get me wrong, but they aren't my precious animals. They are animals after all.

This is our Cat Igby

And our Dog, Sam

We also have another cat, Norbert, but I couldn't find him. He's the mysterious one....

Wasp's Nest

We found a wasp's nest in our apple tree. I hate wasps, everything about them, I just hate them. Blaine sprayed the wasps and then knocked down the nest. Tim decided to wear the nest as a hat, before we threw it in the garbage.

Still Loving Summer

Sorry I haven't been updating this thing as much as I should, but we're really enjoying our summer this year.

Back from vacation

What a whirlwind few weeks this has been. I love summer, and I love relaxing on the beach. I love the heat(yes, I know crazy). First we went to the lake for a week. The boys and I went on Monday morning, and Blaine met us there on Tuesday. Both the boys had a blast playing in the water, and the sand. Then we went to Calgary to visit Grandma D. Where we left the boys with Grandma so we could head to the Craven Country Jamboree. Finally Blaine and I are home, and the boys are still hanging out with Grandma.

They set up a chair at Great- Grandma's and pretended they were surfing.

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa.

At The Farm

Blaine took the boys out to Grandpa D's farm. I don't really know what went on when they were there, but from the pictures it looks like they had a blast.

Their cousin Kinnon was there as well.

And their Auntie Raylene

Tim learned a new skill, that he later tried at his Grandma and Grandpa S's house. Didn't go over so well there. We had to explain to him that it's OK to pee outside at the farm, but not in the city.

Noah loved the cows so much. He now says that he wants to be an animal farmer.

Sad News

I waited a few days to tell you all. To let it sink in, and to let close family and friends know first. So they wouldn't have to find out via my blog.

We had a failed pregnancy.

The baby was about 8 weeks old when we lost it.

I went in for my 12 week appointment, and they couldn't find a heartbeat, so we scheduled an ultrasound. During the time I was waiting for my Ultrasound, I started to feel cramping, and noticed some slight bleeding. The Ultrasound confirmed what I thought was going on.

The news was hard to take at first. I was pretty sad. As time has passed though, I'm feeling a whole lot better. My body didn't want this baby. So we'll just get back on the horse, and try again.
