Jingle Bells

Today, we tried our hand at another craft I found on Pinterest.

Instead of using felt like in the original instructions, I decided to use Christmas stickers. And instead of using pompoms we used real jingle bells.

Here's the boys working hard on their creations.

Festival Of Trees

On Thursday we headed to the Festival Of Trees. A great kick off to the busy christmas season.

Here's a few pictures of Noah, Tim was in school, in front of his favorite trees.

With Auntie Jen, and Auntie Kayla

After seeing all the trees we went to look at the animatronic display. They used to have these set up in the Eaton stores. Way back when.

Then we went to look at the gingerbread houses. Here's the one my friend Amanda put into the show.
Since the event is held at the Western Development Museum, we had to check out the exhibits.

Salt Dough Ornaments

This week the boys made these Salt Dough Ornaments.

We tied them with ribbon, and added a jingle bell.

I found the recipe for salt dough on pinterest. See I am putting it to good use, not just food(I swear I gained at least 5 lbs on recipes I found on pinterest, not good)

The original pin was for a handprint ornament. I added my own variation and used cookie cutters to make the ornaments, then the boys painted them.

Christmas Wreath

Yesterday I tried my hand at my very first DIY project. As well as my first ever time using hot glue.

I found this on Pinterest, and thought it was just so beautiful.

Here's the original site where you can get instructions on how to make your own.

Christmas Party!

This weekend the boys went to a Christmas party, put on by Blaine's work. There were so many fun things for the boys to take part in. Balloon animals, clowns, and face painting.

Noah waiting patiently to get his face painted.

Banana Muffins

We were at the store and spotted some overripe bananas for very cheap. So we bought a whole bunch, and made banana muffins. Tim was my big helper.

To have already put up my christmas decorations..despite everyone complaining about people putting up decorations too early. We already celebrated thanksgiving up here, so I say why not.

To love the new show Once Upon A Time, and hate Pan Am

To throw in a little brag and let everyone know that I only have two more christmas presents to buy...woot woot

To eat way too many candy cane kisses...they are so good

To not understand why the dutch are banning tourists from using the "coffee" bars...isn't that a big part of their tourism.

First Snow

We got our first snowfall of the winter over the weekend, and have been lucky enough to enjoy the warmer then normal weather. Tim and Noah have been running, rolling, jumping in the snow since it first fell.

Here's some pictures of both of them helping me shovel the sidewalk.

Noah shoveling the sandbox..guess he wasn't ready to give up his sandbox yet...sorry kiddo.
