The libraries in Saskatoon are great, they offer a wide variety of activities for people of all ages. And one of those activities is Toddler Time, for children 18 months to 3 years. Tim was really excited about being around all the other toddlers, and he really enjoyed sitting and listening to the stories. The lady running the activity was also very interactive, she would let the toddlers join in, and she was very patient when they didn't want to. He will be going every Tuesday for a month, and if he enjoys it, which looks promising, then he can continue going to the next session. Oh, did I mention it's all free.
Last weekend we finished setting up Tim's new bedroom. It has a Disney Pixar Cars theme, and I can't wait to show you some photos. He started taking naps in his bed on Sunday. It started out pretty easy, I told him it was time for nap, and he headed straight into his new bedroom. We read a book, and then, with his soother, he got ready to go to sleep. Until I got up and closed the door, that's when the playing started. He pulled every toy he could find and put them on his bed. Then he figured out how to reach the light switch, and turned the lights on and off. Good news though, after an hour of playing, and check ins from mom every 15 minutes, he was fast asleep. Of course he threw all his blankets and pillows, and teddies bears on the floor. But I would still call that a success. This weekend we are going to start putting him in his new bed for night times. Wish us luck.
