PB Cookies

We made Peanut Butter cookies yesterday. The easy way. 1 cup of PB, 1/2 cup of sugar, one egg

I took some pictures of Tim watching the cookies, until he wanted to use the camera. He went a little snap happy, taking pictures of our cooking adventure.

His yogurt, that he was enjoying while he waited for the cookies to be done

Meatless Monday Jan 25

We had a huge snowstorm this weekend, reports are that we got 25 inches of snowfall. So I did not have the opportunity to run to the grocery store for this weeks groceries. I am going to be throwing together a stir fry, with the frozen veggies in the freezer, and the bag of brown rice in the cupboard.

And a video of Noah walking.

Silly

Tim has been enamored with all things silly. He loves making silly faces, doing silly things, calling himself, mom, dad, and Noah silly. He especially loves making silly cheese faces for the camera. Guess it will be awhile before we get any handsome boy photos.
My silly little man.

Meatless Monday Jan 18

Ahh! Sorry I posted so late. We had this today.
And it was very good.
Tim also had his first day of Blastball today. And I would vote to change the name to chaos, cause that's what it was. Little 3 year olds running around, with a coach/instructor trying to get them to pay attention.
Happy Meatless Monday!

Oh What Lovely Weather!

We gobbled up the unseasonably warm weather. We have spent most of our playing time outside, while at least until Tim gets too cold.
Here's Tim and his trucks. Digging up the snow in our backyard.
Noah sitting and watching Tim play.

Noah is officially a walker. He is now walking more than he is crawling.

Crockpot Meatless Mexican Chili

1 can of chickpeas(garbanzo beans)
1 can of black beans
1 jar of Salsa
half pouch of chili mix
1 cup of water
Turn Crockpot on low, mix in all ingredients, cook for 4-6 hours.
We haven't tried it yet, cross your fingers that it tastes good. I will let everyone know the family review after dinner.
Update: The chili was really good. Tim loved the chickpeas. Noah thought it was too spicy. Yeah success.

The 2010 Handbook

I stole this from McMommy over at The McMommy Chronicles
Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.. 4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games
7. Read more books than you did in 2009 .
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.
Personality:
11. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
14.. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness..
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.. Don't hate others..
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23.. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree...
Society:
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything..
28. Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
Life:
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change..
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come..
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

How Sweet

Tim: "Where's Grandpa?"
Me: "He's at the hockey game"
Tim: "Timmy missed Grandpa, Where's Grandma?"
Me: "She's at the hockey game, too"
Tim: "Timmy missed Grandma, too."

Meatless Monday Jan 4

Today is the first meatless Monday of 2010. So far, not going so well. I had a plan for dinner, a broccoli, rice bake. But my dear husband decided to ditch on us yesterday, he didn't get home until 4pm. Which meant I had no time to do some serious grocery shopping. So I will be throwing together a stir fry with some veggies in the fridge, and the rice we have in the cupboard.
