Snow Day

Watching the snowfall from inside

My sister's cat kept trying to attack the snow

Later we went outside to play. Tim wasn't too impressed with the snow.

Update

Tim- is feeling great, his nose is still running. But it doesn't seem to bother him, and he slept great last night. He went to bed at 730p, woke up for a snack at 445a, was back to sleep by 530a. And then didn't wake up again until 930a.
Me- I am feeling much better then yesterday. I have a nasty cough, but the feverish chills have gone away. And I no longer have a pounding headache.
Husband- Is dying. Just Kidding, but he definitely thinks he is.
On a lighter note, it snowed today. Big fluffy flakes, my favorite. I'm thinking that we'll have to go play in the snow this afternoon. If we do I will post pictures.

Getting Better

Tim is significantly better this morning, but I am sick now. Sharing sickness is one of the many advantages to being a mom.

My Baby Is Sick

This is the second time since Thanksgiving(Canadian) that Tim has come down with a cold.
Yesterday he was okay, for someone with a cold, he had a runny nose, and a little bit of the sneezes. But overnight his cold took a turn for the worse. He woke me up at 4am, and I gave him some infant Tylenol to help with the uncomfortableness(if that's a word). After a little bit of formula he went back to sleep at about quarter after 4, only to wake up at 5am. This time my husband got up, and played with him for about an hour. He fell back asleep at 6am. And then woke up at 730, his usual wake time. My amazing husband woke up with, and they played for an hour. Then I woke up and fed him breakfast. My husband had a short nap before waking up for work at 915am. Tim went back to sleep at 9am. He seemed okay when he went for his morning nap, a little sniffle, and a slight cough.
But nothing prepared me for what I would see at 1230p, when he woke up from his nap. Side note, he has never slept three hours in the morning. He was coughing up a storm, coughing so hard he would gag after each coughing fit. His eyes were watering, it looked like he was crying. I tried to feed him lunch, but after 3 bites of each, he wouldn't eat anymore. Then at 115p, he went back to sleep.
I will give you an update later tonight after he goes down for the night.

He Learned Something New

Here is a video of Tim's new skill, of a sort.

Crusin'

Tim has almost perfected cruising along the furniture. Just yesterday he learned how to move around corners, before he would stop at the corners, get down, and crawl to the other side. He's also an illusionist, because one minute he's there and the next he's gone. TA DA. It must be magic.

This is a picture of his new kissy face. He still doesn't give kisses, but he puffs out his lips like this all the time.

Yesterday we went to Sears to get some professional pictures for Christmas. This is the outfit he wore. We purchased it at Superstore for 24$. This outfit will also be his Christmas, and church outfit. The pants are still a little long. He's got stubby legs.

Riders Win!!!!

Yesterday we took a trip to Regina, most of my family lives there, and my parents we're going to the football game. Tickets were scarce so we didn't have the opportunity to go, but we did watch the game at my grandparents house. Saskatchewan won 26-24, lucky they didn't blow there lead in the last quarter, as any Rider fan knows this happens way too often. On a quick side note, my husband is originally from Calgary. He was cheering for the Stampeders, so it was a little victory for me as well.

After the game we had a pizza party with, about, 15 of our family. And Tim had a taste of pizza crust. He really enjoyed it. I hate crust, so this works for me.

We also picked up a new car while in Regina. A red 1992 Geo. My husband needed a car of his own, so I still get to drive the sunfire. We drove the little Geo home from Regina, and it runs great. We also got a CD with the car, apparently my Uncle Rick(who sold the car to us) forgot to take it out.

What a story

Here is a little story, Queen of Your Castle, to remind us mothers how wonderful our jobs really are. This excerpt impacted me the most well reading the story.

"Let's see," the princess thought. "She cleaned the castle, bartered with shop owners, washed and mended our clothing. She soothed the baby prince, counseled the teen prince, and helped me with my letters. Then she prepared the feast, and listened to you talk about fighting dragons outside the castle."
"The queen doesn't sound lazy or scared or dumb to me," observed the king.

Thankyou to Anna for posting the link to this story.
