Growing by leaps and bounds

Katherine at Another Day, Another Moment wrote a great post about the little moments. The moments that helps us push past the screaming fits, that toddlers are so great at.

She inspired me to write a little conversation that Noah and I had the other day, while lying in his bed, in the wee hours of the morning.

Noah held his hand up. He pointed at his thumb, and said thumb. Then he pointed at his index finger, and called it finger. Then he pointed at his middle finger, and called it finger...and so on, and so on. I don't remember moments like this with Tim, probably because I was working and Blaine was staying at home.

My little two year old is growing by leaps and bounds.

Yesterday we went to McDonald's and he wouldn't let me help take off his coat, or his boots. He told me he could do it all by himself, and surprise he did do it all by himself. And he loves to run around with the bigger kids, he's not afraid to get an owie.

He's 100% potty trained, he still sleeps in a diaper. He hasn't mastered that yet, he's a pretty heavy sleeper. He'll tell me when he's ready for that, but I'm pretty sure it will be awhile.
